AA Alloys comprises a fully independently owned Foundry, Machine shop and Pattern shop which are all situated in Benoni, South Africa.
As an established supply company to OEM companies and the various mining and industrial sectors in Southern Africa, the name AA Alloys has become synonymous with quality castings made from Leaded Bronze, Phosphor Bronze and Aluminium Bronze.
High conductivity Copper castings for use in power transmission and industrial furnace applications are manufactured regularly, as are castings for the general engineering industry. Most Non-Ferrous Alloys listed in the BS 1400 range can be cast – Our specialty however remains Leaded Bronze crusher spares.
The foundry operates gas fired crucible furnaces which provide a maximum gross cast weight capacity of 6000kg. Molds are manufactured in sand using the CO2 process.
Pattern manufacturing and machining processes are undertaken in-house. The machine shop is available for both proof and finish machining operations and includes Vertical turning and Horizontal Boring Mills, lathes of various sizes and Milling and radial arm drilling machines.
All manufacturing processes are subject to strict internal Quality Control systems, incorporating metallurgical, physical measurement and pressure testing as required by the client.
